Professionals On Staff Certified RESNA / ATS Technicians RESNA aims to improve the potential of people with disabilities to achieve their goals. RESNA requirements include a combination of relevant education and experience, as well as adherence to a Code of Ethics and rules as outlined in the RESNA Standards of Practice. RESNA has developed this voluntary credentialing process in order to ensure consumer satisfaction with the service delivery process. The ATS credential is intended for service providers who are primarily responsible for an end user’s assistive technology needs, such as custom manual and power wheelchairs, form evaluation and assessment, through training and follow-up in the use of that technology. Technicians demonstrate a level of expertise to safely and knowledgeably guide the consumer, including third-party purchasers of service, in determining how assistive technology
can help meet their needs.
